Meet the Team

Tyrone

Father, creative, and entrepreneurial soul, Ty founded Ty Loch's Butcher Blocks and Table Tops as a way to fuel his artistic heart. After a long love affair with other people's creations, he decided it was time to start building some creations of his own. Ty started working with exotic woods in 2010.  In need of a creative outlet, he found that wood and tools were a good way to exercise his creative muscle and make use of his love for math. After many trials, the creations proved to be beautiful.  Happy to share his passion and newfound talent with the world, Ty started gifting and selling his custom designs. Quickly, he realized that the demand for quality wood creations was more than one person could handle, and he was able to expand his team.

Allan Steele.jpg

Allan

Father, BopBop, and retiree, Allan stepped in to provide some assistance. Ty's father-in-law, a retired Vietnam Veteran, had a knack for engineering and creative problem solving.  Ty taught Allan his process, and the building of blocks took off from there.  Along with Ty’s designs, Allan also began designing his own boards. He now assists with much of the production of the pieces in stock.

Kelley

Mama, crafter, and wife to Ty, Kelley has been along for the ride since the start. At first, as a source of welcome moral support. But as Ty’s horizons expanded onto the design and building of dining tables, Kelley stepped in to begin managing the products Allan was working on.  As a crafter herself, Kelley would bring along the butcher blocks and cutting boards to her craft fairs to see if there was interest in the items.
The demand turned out to be significant and a business was born.  Though still a part time hobby, the designs have continued to evolve and become even more gorgeous.
